Unilever has promoted Abhinav Ravikumar to Chief Marketing Officer – Personal Care India, effective January 2026. Based in Mumbai, he will lead Unilever’s personal care portfolio in India, leveraging over 13 years of experience across brand management, innovation, eCommerce, and sales. 

Ravikumar most recently served as Global Brand Director for Lux and Lifebuoy, where he shaped global brand strategy and portfolio growth for two of Unilever’s most iconic personal care brands. Prior to this, as General Manager – eCommerce India, he led Hindustan Unilever’s digital and prestige retail business, driving growth and profitability across marketplaces, quick commerce, beauty platforms, and e-grocery. 

His leadership journey also includes heading Home and Hygiene Innovation for South Asia, managing strategy and brand equity across India, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, and Pakistan. He has led brands like Vim, Rin, and Sunlight Laundry, overseeing full P&L ownership and multiple successful brand relaunches. 

Having started his career through the Unilever Future Leadership Programme, Ravikumar’s promotion reflects the company’s strategy of nurturing internal talent to lead its next phase of growth in India’s personal care sector. 

Experts say his diverse experience across marketing, innovation, and digital commerce positions him to accelerate brand growth, strengthen consumer engagement, and drive India’s personal care market forward
