Tata Communications Names Ganesh Lakshminarayanan as MD & CEO-Designate

 Tata Communications has announced a significant leadership transition with the appointment of Ganesh Lakshminarayanan as its Managing Director and CEO-Designate. The company, which serves as the telecom and digital services arm of the Tata Group, is entering a critical phase in its growth strategy as it strengthens its position in enterprise connectivity and digital transformation services. 

Ganesh currently serves as Managing Director and Group Vice President for ServiceNow in India and the SAARC region. A former Airtel executive, he brings extensive experience in technology, telecom, and enterprise solutions. He will take charge at Tata Communications after the required regulatory clearances are completed.

The leadership change comes at a strategic time for Tata Communications as it doubles down on digital services, cloud infrastructure, data-led solutions, and global enterprise connectivity. The company has reported solid momentum in its financial performance during the third quarter, along with a healthy deal pipeline across international markets. 

Succeeding A S Lakshminarayanan 

Ganesh will succeed A S Lakshminarayanan, who will retire on April 13, concluding an impactful leadership tenure. His stewardship saw Tata Communications deepen its shift from a traditional telecom services provider to a holistic digital ecosystem partner for enterprises worldwide. The succession underscores Tata Communications’ commitment to long-term value creation and its ambition to accelerate digital transformation at scale under new leadership.
